Reading Time: < 1 minute

It’s great news to the Bitcoin community and yet another huge step towards wider adoption and recognition of the potential of Blockchain technology, since the $5.1 Trillion French bank CACIES is now officially registered to offer Bitcoin custody service.

Early today, Credit Agricole made known to the public that it has officially registered itself as a crypto custody service provider, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the Crypto industry. By combining traditional banking services with modern digital asset trends, CACEIS is not just accepting the undisputed effect of cryptocurrencies but also sharpening the way for a more united, dynamic financial ecosystem.

Traditional institutions are accepting cryptocurrency

It is always satisfying to see more traditional institutions embracing the Bitcoin custody service. This is a sign of institutional interest growth toward crypto. For example, earlier this week, Deutsche Bank, a global banking giant, came out saying that it will be trailing a crypto custody license in Germany. Similarly, BlackRock, the world’s leading donor of investment, advisory, and asset managers, lately applied to manage an exchange-traded fund linked to Bitcoin’s price.

More traditional banks should embrace digital banking, since crypto is rapidly growing, more banks should come out and accept that cryptocurrency is the future and technology is staying. Big financial players are joining the crypto world and right after their ‘Financial father’ BlackRock filed for an exchange-traded fund.

Conclusion

With the current news of Bitcoin surpassing $30k and gaining attention, this came with institutions’ support. This marks the second time Bitcoin heightening its price again this year. This came after giant institutions like BlackRock and Invesco’s ETF filled out their application. This bank’s application skyrocketed the bitcoin market cap and investors are growing bullish following big names institutional getting involved in digital currency.
